Spanish supercar? The SunRed SR08.

SunRed have announced they are building a new supercar. Based on the SunRed racer which is currently competing in the Spanish GT Championship, here are the vitals for the new mid-engined SR08: V10 (wheeeee) producing 500bhp and a 3.5 second 0-60mph time, with a top speed of 186mph. Carbon fiber chassis and body, with carbon ceramic brakes, I wonder how spongy those are going to be… Minimal body roll should be achieved thanks to the Ohlins shocks, oh my, nice and pricey!

SunRed is planning to make just 10 road going versions of this, no prices have been announced, and the cars should be ready later this year. I can guarantee they’ve already sold them all.

To be honest i’m a little skeptical about this thing, its Spanish… not usually associated with supercars, that said look at what Koenigsegg have been producing :)

Anyone getting one? Fancy letting me take it for a quick spin around the ring? (Nurburgring for those non petrol heads out there in `internetland`).

Oh, and this is what its going to look like (apparently);

Personally, I’d prefer the new Bentley Brooklands Coupe!
